One of the
largest Native American protests in recent modern history has now taken a spiritual
turn near Standing Rock at the Oceti Sakowin Camp in North Dakota. More and more people are starting to see the
Standing Rock Pipeline Protest as the fruitions of Black Elk’s prophesy of the surviving
tribes, after generations of suffering, coming together and healing as one
people. Malaine Stoneman, a member of
the Sicangu Lakota tribe, was quoted by the Des Moines Register as saying that “I’ve
never seen anything like this. This is more than just protecting the land. This
is a huge spiritual movement.” Over 7,000 campers have arrived from all over
the world, and tribal leaders from hundreds of tribes have shown up to show
their support - Helping to further fulfill Black Elk’s Prophesy in 2016.
